This breakfast side panel will address the important role that reducing postharvest loss has on food, water, and energy security. The panel will explore the potential economic, environmental, and social impacts of reducing postharvest loss and of achieving effective energy and water use on food availability. In addition to identifying critical issues and opportunities, the objectives of IFT’S new Power of 3 (food water and energy) initiative will be shared. This event is cohosted the ADM Institute for the Prevention of Postharvest Loss and the Institute of Food Technologists.
